Upcoming Release: CELEMICS 2 Kb Library Preparation and Target Enrichment Kit for Long-read Sequencing

At CELEMICS, we are committed to delivering high-quality solutions that meet the evolving needs of researchers across a wide range of NGS platforms. Through continuous innovation and product development, we currently offer kits compatible with major sequencing systems, including Illumina, MGI (Complete Genomics), ThermoFisher (Ion Torrent), Singular Genomics, and Element Biosciences.


To go beyond what is already available, we have focused not only on enhancing the performance of our existing kits but also on expanding our portfolio to support emerging sequencing technologies. As part of these efforts, we are excited to introduce an upcoming product—scheduled for release this summer—that marks our entry into the long-read sequencing (LRS) market.


CELEMICS Long-read Kit (tentative name) has been newly developed to enable robust and efficient library preparation and target enrichment, specifically designed for long-read sequencing platforms.

Key Features of the CELEMICS Long-read Kit

  • No specialized instrument is required for DNA fragmentation or size selection.
  • The workflow is intuitive and aligned with CELEMICS’ existing short-read library preparation protocols, enabling a seamless transition without the need for additional user training.
  • Customized target enrichment panels are available to address a broad range of research applications.

Workflow Overview

The experimental workflow follows the same streamlined protocol as CELEMICS’ short-read library preparation kits. Users, already familiar with CELEMICS’ methodologies, will find the transition straightforward and readily adoptable.

Library Size

This kit is specifically optimized to generate sequencing libraries with an average insert size of approximately 2 Kb, ensuring compatibility with long-read sequencing workflows.

Hybridization Performance

Post-hybridization sequencing results also showed high target specificity, comparable to that achieved with short-read enrichment protocols.

The CELEMICS Long-read Kit is fully compatible with all existing preset and custom target enrichment panels. In addition, long-read specific applications are currently under development and are scheduled for release in the near future.
